Formula 1: Canada Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton take his first Formula One victory in only the sixth race of his career. Hamilton continued the astonishing start to his McLaren career with a win in the Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday, his sixth straight podium finish.

“I’ve been ready for this for quite some time, ready for the win - it was just a matter of where and when,” Hamilton said.

Lewis Hamilton now leads the drivers’ championship by eight points from team-mate and reigning champion Fernando Alonso.
