Two-time Formula 1 champion Fernando Alonso is on a roll in Monte Carlo.
McLaren’s Fernando Alonso won a battle with teammate Lewis Hamilton to take victory in the the Monaco Grand Prix for the second year in a row, becoming the first driver to win back-to-back races in Monte Carlo for different teams.
Alonso finished 4.095 seconds ahead of Hamilton and 1:09.114 in front of Massa: “I’ve never won with more than a minute to the third guy (before),” Alonso said. “For sure, this was one of the easiest and nicest victories so far. It has been a fantastic weekend, no doubt. A hat trick: fastest lap, pole position and win. It is so good to drive such a perfect car for 78 laps”. Read more »
